1. What is the Ford Racing Rare Parts Auction? The Ford Racing Rare Parts Auction is a special online-only event featuring unique and rare memorabilia and collector items from Ford Racing history. These items are offered for auction exclusively on Fordshowparts.com. Fordshowparts.com reserves the right to delete any bid deemed "outrageous." If your bid is removed, you will be notified.
2. When does the auction take place? The auction will run from October 10, 2025, at 12:00 PM EST and will conclude on November 10, 2025, at 9:00 PM EST. All times are Eastern Standard Time.
3. Can I preview the items before the auction starts? Yes! All auction items will be available for preview on Fordshowparts.com starting October 10, 2025.
4. Who is eligible to bid in this auction? Participation in the Ford Racing Rare Parts Auction is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older and maintain a valid shipping address within the contiguous United States (lower 48 states, including Washington D.C.).
5. How do I register to bid? To participate in the auction, you must first create a free account on Fordshowparts.com. This account creation process will require you to provide accurate contact information, including your name, email address, phone number, and a valid shipping address within the contiguous United States. While payment information is not required to register, it will be necessary to complete a purchase if you are a winning bidder.
6. What is the "Verified Bidder" process for high-value items? For any auction item where the current bid reaches or exceeds $1,000, bidding will be restricted to Verified Bidders only. To become a Verified Bidder, you must contact fordsp1@ford.com to request approval. Fordshowparts.com will then verify your eligibility, and you will receive an email confirmation from fordsp1@ford.com once approved. Only approved email addresses will be able to place bids on items exceeding the $1,000 threshold. We recommend initiating this verification process early if you intend to bid on higher-value items.
7. How do I place a bid? Bids are placed directly on the individual product pages for each auction item via our integrated bidding system.
8. What are the bid increments? All bids must be placed in increments of $10. For example, if the current bid is $300, the next bid must be at least $310.
9. Is there a reserve price on items? No, there are no reserve prices on any items in this auction. All items will be sold to the highest bidder.
10. What happens if there's a tie bid? Our bidding system is designed to prevent tie bids; the first bid received at a particular amount will take precedence.
11. Will the auction end time be extended if someone bids at the last minute? No, the auction has a fixed end time. Once the clock reaches November 10, 2025, at 9:00 PM EST, the auction will close, and no further bids will be accepted.
12. How are the items described? Each item will feature a detailed description on its product page, including multiple photos. Any known history of the part will be stated, and each item will come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
13. What is the condition of these rare parts? Some items may show wear as they were used in actual races. All items are sold "as-is." Please review descriptions and photos carefully.
14. Are these parts functional automotive parts? No. These parts are sold strictly as memorabilia and Ford collectibles and are NOT intended to be used as functional automotive parts. They are for display or collection purposes only.
15. What payment methods are accepted? We accept all major credit cards and PayPal.
16. When is payment due? Winning bidders have 24 hours from the time they are declared the winner to complete the purchase of their items.
17. Is there a buyer's premium or sales tax? No, there is no buyer's premium, and no sales tax will be applied to auction purchases.
18. What happens if a winning bidder fails to pay? If a winning bidder fails to complete their purchase within the 24-hour payment window, their claim to the item will be forfeited, and a new winner (the next highest bidder) will be declared.
19. What are the shipping options and costs? Shipping is only available within the contiguous United States (lower 48 states, including Washington D.C.). Ford Show Parts will cover all shipping, handling, and insurance costs for auction items. Winner must have a valid UPS address to ship to.
20. Can I pick up my item locally? Yes, local pickup is available. If you wish to pick up your item, you MUST contact fordsp1@ford.com to arrange a pickup time and location after your payment has been successfully processed.
21. How long after payment will my item be shipped or available for pickup? After we receive and confirm your payment, items will be shipped out within two weeks. For local pickup, arrangements will be made via email within this timeframe.
22. How will I be notified if I win an item? Winning bidders will be notified via email immediately after the auction closes. In some cases, a phone call may also be made.
25. What is your return policy for auction items? All sales for items in the Ford Racing Rare Parts Auction are final. There are no returns, exchanges, or refunds. Please bid carefully.
