What is a Ford Owner Welcome Kit?
Owner welcome kits are exclusive packages intended for the original owner of certain specialty Ford vehicles. These vehicles include: Mustang Boss 302, 50th Anniversary Mustang, Focus RS, Mach-E First Edition, Mustang Mach 1, Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT500, and most recently, Mustang Dark Horse.
Each owner welcome kit contains unique items, such as certificates of authenticity, brochures, desktop displays, chassis plaques and more. The kits are intended for the first, non-dealer, retail owner of the vehicles in participating regions. Typically, the United States and Canada participate in the owner's kit program, though in the case of Mach 1, for example, Ford of South Africa also participated.
Can I Check to See if My Original Ford Welcome Kit was Ever Sent?
Yes! If you are curious whether the original owner's supplement was sent for your vehicle, please send us an email at Fordsp1@ford.com with your year, model and VIN and we can check for you. Although rare, if the kit was not sent to the first owner, sometimes arrangements can be made to ship the kit to the current vehicle owner. If this is the case, we will email you further instructions to start the claim process.
Owner Kit Items and Certificate Packages
The original owner kits are one-of-a-kind and not reproduced exactly. If you are a second or later owner, all hope is not lost! Ford Show Parts works directly with the owner kit team to obtain as many original items as possible from the owner kits to make available for purchase by all enthusiasts including, for example, original brochures, certificates of authenticity, hero cards, etc. Most of the items we receive are limited in quantity and will never be restocked, however, so don’t wait too long to place an order.
In addition to the nearly 20 certificates of authenticity current offered, Ford Show Parts also has several certificate packages available, providing a great variety of items along with the certificates depending on the vehicle, including posters, keychains, window stickers, hero cards, tech data cards and more, and all at significant savings versus purchasing those items separately.
